The Magewell Pro Convert HDMI Plus is a compact standalone NDI encoder that converts a single HDMI source — including sources up to 4096×2160 at 30fps — into a Full NDI High Bandwidth stream on a standard Gigabit Ethernet network. As a Plus model in the Pro Convert family, it includes HDMI loop-through output, a dedicated tally light port, PTZ camera control and the flexibility to be switched between encode and decode modes via firmware — making it significantly more versatile than the TX-only entry models. PoE powered, camera-mountable and browser-configured, it is the preferred choice when a single HDMI source needs to become a permanent, reliable NDI stream within a professional production environment.

- HDMI to Full NDI Encoding: Encodes any HDMI 1.4 or DVI-D source at up to 4096×2160 30fps 4:4:4/4:2:2 or 4096×2160 60fps 4:2:0 as a Full NDI High Bandwidth stream — making any HDMI camera, presentation output or AV source immediately discoverable on the network.
- HDMI Loop-Through Output: A dedicated HDMI loop-through passes the full input signal to a local monitor, confidence display or downstream device — simultaneously with encoding to NDI. No external splitter required, no signal degradation at either output.
- 8-Channel HDMI Audio: Captures all 8 channels of HDMI-embedded audio and transmits them as 8-channel NDI-embedded audio — preserving the full audio payload of HDMI sources including multi-channel and surround sound configurations.
- Flexible Output Resolution: Encodes at the native input resolution or any custom resolution, with output frame rates at full, half, third or quarter of the input. Enables low-bandwidth NDI streams for preview monitoring alongside full-quality programme outputs.
- FPGA Video Processing: Onboard FPGA handles deinterlacing, up/down scaling, frame rate conversion, aspect ratio adjustment and EDID configuration — entirely in hardware with zero CPU overhead on any connected host system.
- PTZ Camera Control: Controls PTZ cameras over the network using VISCA, Visca UDP, Visca UDP2RS232, PELCO-P and PELCO-D protocols via the shared Mini-DIN 8 port — enabling NDI-based PTZ control without a separate controller or serial infrastructure.
- Programme & Preview Tally: Dedicated tally LEDs show programme (red) and preview (green) status — with tally signals available via the Mini-DIN 8 port for connection to on-camera tally lights. Tally light accessory included in the box.
- NDI 6.2 Support: Updated to NDI SDK 6.2 — ensuring full compatibility with current NDI production infrastructure, software and network discovery.
