Ultra Encode HDMI

The Magewell Ultra Encode HDMI is a professional standalone live streaming and IP video encoder that takes any HDMI source and simultaneously delivers it to multiple streaming destinations over RTMP, SRT, RTSP, HLS and NDI HX — at up to 16Mbps, without a PC, without a capture card and without any software running at the point of installation. Accepting HDMI 1.4a and DVI-D sources at up to 2048×1080 60fps, it encodes dual streams simultaneously in H.264 or H.265 and connects via Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 3G/4G USB mobile broadband modem — making it the entry-level model in the Ultra Encode family for HDMI-based professional streaming workflows. Browser-managed, Control Hub compatible and available as a standalone device or T-bracket-mounted unit, it is designed for broadcast facilities, houses of worship, corporate AV, education and live events where reliable, permanent HDMI streaming infrastructure is required. • HDMI to Multi-Protocol Live Streaming: Encodes any HDMI 1.4a or DVI-D source and streams simultaneously to multiple destinations via RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, RTSP, HLS and NDI HX — covering every major streaming and IP production protocol used in broadcast, ProAV and internet delivery from a single device.
• Dual Stream Encoding up to 16Mbps: Encodes a main stream and sub stream simultaneously — each with independent resolution, frame rate and bitrate settings. Main stream up to 16Mbps delivers broadcast-quality H.264 or H.265 to your primary destination while the sub stream provides a lower-bitrate version for secondary distribution or monitoring.
• H.264 & H.265 (HEVC) with AAC Audio: Full H.264 and H.265 video encoding with 8-channel AAC audio at up to 192kHz — delivering efficient, high-quality streams suitable for broadcast contribution, live streaming platforms and NDI HX IP production networks simultaneously.
• NDI HX Encoding — IP Production Ready: Encodes the HDMI input as NDI HX for distribution over a standard Gigabit Ethernet network to NDI-enabled production software, switchers and monitoring systems — making any HDMI source an NDI stream on the network alongside conventional streaming outputs.
• HDMI Loop-Through Output: Dedicated HDMI loop-through passes the full input signal simultaneously with encoding — maintaining the existing local display, monitor or downstream HDMI connection without any interruption or additional hardware.
• Analogue Audio I/O: 3.5mm LINE IN for external analogue audio input and 3.5mm LINE OUT for monitoring — with independent level control, enabling external microphones, mixers or audio sources to be mixed into the encoded stream.
• Multi-Destination Simultaneous Streaming: Stream to multiple RTMP, SRT, RTSP, HLS and NDI HX destinations simultaneously from a single encoder — covering YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, custom RTMP servers, SRT receivers and NDI production networks at the same time.
• Control Hub Compatible: Registers with Magewell Control Hub for centralised management, firmware updates and real-time status monitoring across multiple Ultra Encode devices in a facility or multi-site deployment.
