The Magewell USB Capture AIO is the most versatile single-channel capture device in the USB Capture family — the only model that accepts virtually every video signal format in a single compact, bus-powered dongle. With a DVI-I input supporting HDMI, VGA and Component via breakout cable, a dedicated BNC input for SD/HD/3G-SDI, and a DB9 connector for Composite, S-Video and analogue audio, the AIO captures from broadcast cameras, legacy AV equipment, medical devices and computer sources all from one device. • Six Input Types in One Device — HDMI, SDI, DVI, VGA, Component, Composite & S-Video: The DVI-I port accepts HDMI 1.4a and DVI via a breakout cable, and VGA via an included DVI-to-VGA connector. The BNC port handles SD/HD/3G-SDI. The DB9 port accepts Component, Composite and S-Video via an included breakout cable. No other USB capture device in the range covers this breadth of signal types.
• 2K Capture at up to 120fps: Captures at resolutions up to 2048×2160 at up to 120fps via a 160 Mpixels/s onboard processing pipeline — entirely on the device’s FPGA, offloading zero processing from the host computer’s CPU.
• SD/HD/3G-SDI Capture with Cable Equaliser: Accepts SD (ST 259), HD (ST 292), 3Ga and 3Gb SDI signals at up to 2048×1080 60fps with an integrated cable equaliser supporting SDI cable runs up to 150m — making it suitable for professional broadcast and live production environments, not just desktop use.
• Full Analogue Signal Support — Including Legacy Formats: Captures Component, Composite and S-Video via the DB9 breakout with support for NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards, auto-detecting the input standard. Ideal for legacy tape output, archive digitisation and older broadcast equipment.
• 12-bit ADC for VGA & Component: The 12-bit analogue-to-digital converter handles RGB and YCbCr colour formats, separated sync, composite sync, sync-on-green and sync-on-luminance — supporting DMT, CEA, CVT, GTF and custom CVT/GTF video timings up to 165MHz pixel rate at 1:1 sampling.
• Onboard Video Processing: Scaling, cropping, de-interlacing, aspect ratio conversion, colour format conversion, frame rate conversion, flip and mirror — all handled on the device. Three aspect ratio modes: Ignore (Anamorphic), Cropping or Padding (Letterbox/Pillarbox).
• USB Bus-Powered — No External Power Required: Draws power entirely from the USB 3.0 port at max 5W — no power adapter, no mains connection, no additional cabling. Fully portable and field-deployable on any laptop or workstation.
